Since 1947 WSDR has been the Rock River Valley's authority for news, talk, and sports. 

Whether its early in the morning, the afternoon, or late at night, WSDR keeps you up to date with all the local and national news. Our news staff includes Danette Dallgas-Frey, Mary Carlson, Tammy Nehrkorn, and field reporter Randy Duncan.

You can hear local sports from Sterling, Rock Falls, Newman, and Morrison High Schools and Sauk Valley Community College on WSDR AM 1240 and catch Cathy Verhulst with her sports reports and interviews throughout the weekdays.  Jim Spencer also hosts a local sports talk show on Saturday mornings. National sports including Chicago White Sox Baseball, NCAA Basketball, and PGA Golf, can be heard at various times throughout the year on WSDR.

The personalities of WSDR are the hallmark of the station and are sure to keep you entertained. Brian Zschiesche starts off the day with his smooth-flowing morning show, Tim O'Brien continues the fun throughout the rest of the morning with entertainment news and more. Ken Hines hosts the noon ag show, which keeps listeners informed on the ever changing agricultural world. Jay Pauley's vast knowledge of music and life highlight his wonderful show. Dustin Gray's laid back attitude and tasteful music selection will help you end your day.
